DEMIDOV ACTING TECHNIQUE TWO DAY INTENSIVE: FOUNDATIONS & CIRCUMSTANCES

For the first time, Demidov Studio London is heading to Scotland.

Led by the only certified teacher of Demidov’s technique within the UK, this two day intensive in Glasgow will introduce you to a unique approach to accessing your inner freedom, and cultivating your intuition, perception, and spontaneity. Allowing you to surrender fully to your inner urges, and the truth of your experience in the moment.

Over the course of the two day intensive, you will discover how to orient yourself and surrender into the circumstances of a text, and how they become 'given'. You will learn how the circumstances develop to be clearer and deeper every time you repeat a scene, and how to let yourself be driven by the force of those circumstances, rather than pressuring yourself to do, think, or feel anything. In this way, living as character becomes effortless and spontaneous.

This intensive if for actors who are both new to the work of Demidov, and those who would like to deepen their practice. Please see below for exact dates and times.

What is the Demidov School of acting?

The Demidov School approaches the creative process as an indivisible whole - everything we need is already there from the beginning. We put the actor’s talent, creativity, and intuition at the heart of everything we do. The school was created in the latter part of the 19th Century and the beginning of the 20th Century by Nikolai Demidov, a close associate of Stanislavsky. All courses are open to participants aged 18 and over.

This Intensive will be led by Demidov Studio London Director, Andrei Biziorek.
