DEMIDOV ACTING TECHNIQUE TWO DAY INTENSIVE: FOUNDATIONS & THE POWER OF CIRCUMSTANCES

Led by the only certified teacher of Demidov’s technique within the UK, this two day intensive in London will introduce you to a unique approach to accessing your inner freedom, and cultivating your intuition, perception, and spontaneity. Allowing you to surrender fully to your inner urges, and the truth of your experience in the moment.

Over the course of this two-day intensive, you will be introduced to Demidov’s signature Etudes, the foundation of the whole technique. You will also get a taste of the Demidov approach to working with circumstances, and discover how they work through us as a force once we learn to surrender to them. Rather than forcing yourself to do or feel anything, living on stage or screen becomes effortless and spontaneous.

Working with what Demidov calls Inexact or Creative Repetition, you will discover how to allow a scene to be alive each time it is repeated, and how the circumstances develop depth and clarity with every repetition.

This intensive if for actors who are both new to the work of Demidov, and those who would like to deepen their practice. Please see below for exact dates and times.

What is the Demidov School of acting?

The Demidov School approaches the creative process as an indivisible whole - everything we need is already there from the beginning. We put the actor’s talent, creativity, and intuition at the heart of everything we do. The school was created in the latter part of the 19th Century and the beginning of the 20th Century by Nikolai Demidov, a close associate of Stanislavsky. This Intensive will be led by Demidov Studio London Director, Andrei Biziorek.
