DEMIDOV ACTING TECHNIQUE FOUR DAY INTENSIVE: FOUNDATIONS & THE POWER OF CIRCUMSTANCES
Led by the only certified teacher of Demidov’s technique within the UK, this four day online intensive will introduce you to a unique approach to accessing your inner freedom, and cultivating your intuition, perception, and spontaneity. Allowing you to surrender fully to your inner urges, and the truth of your experience in the moment.
Over the course of this four-day intensive, you will be introduced to Demidov’s signature Etudes, the foundation of the whole technique. You will also get a taste of the Demidov approach to working with circumstances, and discover how they work through us as a force once we learn to surrender to them. Rather than forcing yourself to do or feel anything, living on stage or screen becomes effortless and spontaneous.
Working with what Demidov calls Inexact or Creative Repetition, you will discover how to allow a scene to be alive each time it is repeated, and how the circumstances develop depth and clarity with every repetition.
This intensive is for actors who are both new to the work of Demidov, and those who would like to deepen their practice. Please see below for exact dates and times.
Cost: £250
Dates: 21, 22, 28 February 2027, 1 March 2027
Time: 4pm - 7pm (UK time zone)

Deepening Practice - Online
Deepening Practice Online
DEMIDOV DEEPENING PRACTICE
This is a sustained, small-cohort space for actors who have already engaged significantly with the work and are seeking a period of deepening rather than introduction.
The cohort runs for three months, meeting once weekly for three hours online. It is capped at six actors to ensure continuity, precision, and meaningful individual attention.
This is not curriculum-based progression. It is a structured but responsive period of practice focussed on the deepening of each individual actor’s creative process in the Demidov work.
The course will comprise four strands:
Foundations & Etude Practice – 2 weeks
Scales & Auxiliary Exercises - ongoing
Monologue Investigation – four weeks
Scene & Character Work – six weeks
Cost: £930
Dates: SEPTEMBER TO NOVEMBER 2027 2PM TO 5PM GMT
SEPTEMBER 10, 17
OCTOBER 1, 8, 15, 22, 29
NOVEMBER 5, 12, 19, 26, 27, 28.

Three Intensive Series - ONLY 1 Place available on October Intensive
Online Intensive - only one place available in October
The Demidov Online Three Intensive Series is for actors who want to dive more deeply into the work of the Demidov School. The course – held entirely on Zoom – is ideal for actors who do not have ready access to our studio for in person courses and can be undertaken as individual intensives, or combined. It gives actors the opportunity to work more intensively and in greater depth on certain aspects of the Demidov curriculum. The series will include working with the Foundations of the entire technique, rooted in Demidov’s signature Etudes, plus Inexact (Creative) Repetition and The Power of Circumstances. Structured to flow seamlessly from one aspect of the work to the next, these online intensives allow actors to stay immersed in the work and organically utilise what they are learning as the course progresses.
COURSE STRUCTURE
We begin at the core of the Demidov School: nurturing the actor's subconscious creativity and cultivating freedom of life onstage from the very first moments of training through Demidov's Etudes. We then explore how we allow our work to be truthful and alive each time we repeat – either a moment, a scene or a whole performance – through what Demidov calls Inexact (Creative) Repetition. As the learning progresses, we dive more deeply into discovering how to work with the Power of Circumstances, learning how to surrender to them so that they guide us as an irresistible force. And how acting then becomes effortless.
The Demidov Organic Acting Technique empowers actors to connect deeply with their unique creative individuality by guiding them to recognise and trust their innate artistic instincts. It is an approach that cultivates faith in the actors’ own talent and fosters spontaneous performances that emerge organically, allowing actors to consistently access inspiration and fully express their true creative potential.
